Question for you guys.
ORIGINAL: Spirit R/T
Lets put it in an easy to understand way.
1) Mopar Performance parts HAVE NO WARRANTY.
2) The only way your warrenty is void, is if the Modification is the direct cause of the failure.
Most warr. decisions are made at the dealer by the dealer, If you don't feel its a Unfair decision, call Chrysler and bitch! you may be suprised at how well they handle your problem.
This story about the poor guy with the jeep, Raises my heckles! NEVER have I heard of Chrysler ever doing such a thing! Nor do they have the right to.

Mopar Performance parts have been and still are bought as is with no warranty or guarantee. They did use to have parts that would and would not void the factory warranty. I was told by the service manager where I bought my SRT-4 that anything that changes or effects the emissions of the vehicle will void the warranty. According to the catalog, the only part that doesn't effect the emissions is the exhaust. Of all the parts, I would think that the exhaust would change the emissions and that the CAI and PCM wouldn't, but it's the exact opposite according to the catalog.[sm=smiley5.gif][sm=smiley29.gif][sm=smiley7.gif]
He also told me not to contact Chrysler about this. He said that one guy did about modifying his Jeep and being able to keep the warranty valid and Chrysler said he cannot do anything to it without voiding the warranty, then made him take his Jeep in to the dealership every month for a year to be inspected to make sure he didn't modify it at all. Now thats f[sm=smiley35.gif]ed up.[sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley7.gif][sm=smiley7.gif]
