I went to the SEMA IAS show in Atlantic City today, There were over 200 cars (3 SRT-4's, one over 350hp) and many performance retailers.

I went hoping to talk to some of the folks from Modern Performance about parts for my R/T.
However, when I reached there booth, It was empty.........

There name was over the booth space, but nothing was there......

I was just wondering if any one knew anything????

 

If you're really curious, just call them and ask (it wont hurt). Obviously u have some questions for them.[&:]

 

They were there Satrday, but they had a very minimal setup, and very little presence. The display was non-existent, except for the wrx they show on the site. I was interested in meeting them and discussing a couple of things, but after they gave me an outdated business card (with a 2003 calendar on the back?) and I waited for 15 minutes for some other consumer to stop talking to whichever representative they sent, I decided it wasn't worth waiting anymore, so I went back to checking out the rest of the show, where other vendors made the effort to show consumers that they are interested, and involved in gaining their business. I was dissapointed in the effort they made for the show. I just don't see the point of registering (even late) unless you put in some time to promote your company.

On the 3 srt-4's, I only found 2 of them there, saturtday, the t3/4 hybrid - 'round 330 hp, and the one with a cage and racing slicks. I was a little dissapointed in the lack of srt-4's down there in general, as I didn't see one other than mine from 2:00 to 6:00 when I was there.

Overall, the show was a big dissapointment, compared to last year, when they had driving events, and drifting exhibitions outside. Especially, when the extra events were such a success, and got more response than the show itself. I wonder why.

that makes me feel alot better about not being able to go to the show. i was at work at caesars casino, which is about 4 blocks away from where the show was and i didnt get a chance to go cuz i was working.

 

They had a lot of problems with the out door vents due to the weather.

I went on Friday (as I always do as a rep for work, dont have to deal with the crowds!)
We were suppost to do the BFG ride and drive, wich was cancled due to rain.

All in all, it was a cool show, but a little smaller than last year.

There were however more Honda's and Evo's than i could possably look at.


And also a really bad wreck on the ACX on the way down (car on it's side on fire in the woods)

But, I got the day off, and got PAID to go! so I can't complain.

 

i was at sema on sunday but i only seen the orange neon (bro's friend) and one srt-4..... where were the others ??? i prolly looked over them some how i dunno lol

 

Too bad they canceled the ride and drive, it was a real nice day for it Saturday. Would've made it seem a lot more alive there.
