RE: Saleen n20 Focus
Im a car guy not a mopar, chevy, ford,H-D, or import owner that's stuck on bull **** brand loyaty. So there are certain cars from all manufacturer's we all don't like. But if some one build's or buy's a car i don't like i just don't go and bash um. Might give them a little greif but all in fun. If that's what their looking for fine, it's their choice not ur's.Price wise the saleen suck's, I don't like the paint sceme. But performace wise it's just as fast if not a little faster than my svt focus was. There were certain thing's i didn't like about my focus just like my srt-4. the saleen should have had a wide body kit with wider tire's so it dosen't look so top heavy. ya and actually hooking nos up void's the engine warrenty. Make's you wonder why they didn't go to forced induction. ill take a foci over a neon any day, except for the srt-4. I could haul more stuff in it. Try sticking a 32 in tv in it's box in a neon. But i wanted more performace out of the box so i switched. Guess im the last of a dying breed of car enthusist's. Im ase certified for ac work it just a easy test you take. Comon sense like a driving permit test. So some car's have more easy bolt on's like the stang. Chevy sb's have been that way for 30 yr's. I'm just sick of all the ignorent ***'s on the majority of the car site's.

actually crackbaby..it is mustang morons like you that drag your knuckles over here from MF just to hastle me..im used to it, and your poor vocabulary just proves my point..and for gods sake, read your posts before you hit "ok" so they make some sense. its not a magnum, its a mirada, which is a cordoba with a different fascia, but as a mustang owner, and ford employee, youre obviously too stupid to know that. if you would look around, my "magnum" would smoke Any stock mustang, and my RT cost more than most of them. for the record, i dont live in 3-1-3 with detriot GARBAGE like you, that part is a joke. i live in utica, in a gated community!
so take your mustang driving white trash self, and head back to MF. make sure you tell the rest of the morons there that the BadStrat Said hello.
but let me break a little something down for you 8 mile style..
west coast is easy
east coast is brash
mustangs are garbage
and you, are white trash
btw...bye!

RE: Saleen n20 Focus
Ford has no business puting a v-10 in a mustang cuz it wouldnt be a mustang. theyve had v-8s in em for ever. If they are goin to do it right get into the vipers class.... and i dont think the mustang cobra has the right to get into that class, they just need to make a new car......period, the closest thing ford would have is the Shelby COBRA 1st prototype they built w/ a v-10. As far as the mustang (how dare they even think about saying it is in the same class) since every road test w/ the vette and viper stomped it.

AHHH, We'll get along all right, untill the Steelers meet the Eagles in the SUPERBOWL!!!!
Philly's the most underrated city in the US. There are just a lot of hard working people who happen to have very BIG mouths!!
But I love it here, and wouldn't trade it for the world!
Besides,I hear you're relocating to Michigan..... Detriot is a lot like Philly, just dirtier!!!

RE: Saleen n20 Focus
I think that it's just another sad pathetic attempt at someone trying to make a Ford more than a Ford, but it still comes out as yet another beaten Ford. There are far too many better and faster cars for that price that maintain their warranty rather than buying that turd, someone would have to be incredibly stupid to buy it.
As far as the V10 Mustang is concerned, it will be believed when they're for sale in the showrooms. And going by Ford's past false claims of high end Mustang power output, you can bet on overinflated numbers and dumpster performance. Squeezing a V10 in a Mustang and getting it to beat a Viper will take over 600 real horsepower, not advertised, and far more money along the way of the GT's price tag. And as far as the GT goes, Chrysler built a concept car along the same price as it called the ME412 which is very detuned considering that it has a quad turbocharged V12, far more than needed to obliterate the GT. Don't forget that Chrysler is the most noted for bringing concepts to life.
Now on to the Ford vs. everything topic. Everyone that I know that have or has had Fords are constantly repairing them and most absolutely hate them after having owned a few. Some still stick with them because they are simply Ford people and that's all they want and I respect them for their loyalty. I also constantly see recalls for Ford's, sometimes even daily, followed off in the distance by GM and with the lowest of the US manufacturers that I've seen is Chrysler. As far as reliability, power and performance Ford has always been dead last leaving Chrysler and GM battling for first, which is why the GM/Chevy biased magazines always had their this Chevy vs. that Ford comparison, because they knew every time that the Chevy was easily the winner. This usually ended up mainly being the Camaro vs. the Mustang and it is fine since they are each others competition, but they never dared to put a Mopar in the mix to beat their favored Chevys.
Then it came time that they couldn't avoid the Chevy vs. Dodge comparison when the Viper came out killing all Corvettes. Now their performance comparisons had to pit the Vette vs. the Viper and as expected the Viper beat the Vette in most if not all possible performance tests know to mankind (often times the Vette had better 60-0 MPH braking). But these GM biased magazines couldn't let this continue after their first comparisons of these two awarded the Viper their pick as the best, so then their "performance" tests, which is supose to base the overall win and their pick on performance, were no longer done this way. Now they were basing their overall win, pick, nod, choice, etc. on non-performance issues since the Viper was beating down the Corvette in every single performance test, they started to give it to the Corvette based on it's softer ride, easier entry and exit into the car, visibility, road and wind noise, traction control, exhaust loudness/sound, styling inside and out, etc. Nothing to do with the article or performance, just anything they could say they liked better to pick it over the Viper.
And more recently they did basically the same, but this time they used the info that the SRT-4 holds back peak performance for the first 1,500 miles to kinda fix the comparison of the Cobalt SS vs. the SRT-4. They knew that an SRT-4 that had over 1,500 miles on it would easily smack the SS silly, so they made sure to get one that was green (not at full power output) to make the SS look better and it worked as the SRT-4 was a full half second or more slower in everything. This created a tie on the stats so they could more easily pick the SS as the best. The Focus is so far behind these two that it would be a complete joke to compare it to them, so I fully expect them to compare the Cobalt SS to the Focus since they won't have to pull a bunch of BS like that to show the Cobalt as being the best.
