wheel hop

Or if you race the car and want all your wheel hop gone then solid mounts are the best you can get. But the car will vibrate more with solid mounts.

I have the solid mounts and solid transmission mount. You are going to get more of a vibration in the car then normal with solid mounts because the solid mounts transfer the vibration from the engine to the body of the car. So that depends on if you mind that or not. For me it is not that annoying so I live with it. Solid mounts are better then the inserts, I have had both. But the inserts will give you less vibration. If you dont want a lot of vibration go race inserts.
i have inserts and they got rid of my wheel hop. its worth the 25 bucks to try the inserts first. i have heard peolpe say the solid mounts create a lot of vibrations but that is a matter of opinion. i took out my balance shafts and that creates alot of vibrations but still fine for me. its up to you but i would say try the inserts first cause they worked great for me. heres a link to a site i trust.

2 is all you need 1 for the top and 1 for the bottom for most kits like the ones listed above but some kits like i have come with 4 pieces 2 for each top and bottom i geuss they both work the same i dont know.
depending on the kit, you should have a tranny mount insert also.
Ive had both and granted the inserts are alot more "comfortable" but they didnt solve all the problems. Solid mounts took more of the hop away, and at first I really didnt like them because of the added vibration, but give them a few to settle and it mellows out.
Of course other factors play into wheel hop also...tires, clutch, power levels, etc...
