how many srt-4's have been built?
BradstrartRT. I was having fun meant to be a little out there! I thought I was self-deprecating enough to not be offensive to your post. I agree with what you posted, to think it’s going to become a classic is a little optimistic. I guess my attempt at humor is just that. An attempt, fell far short. I enjoy this site I learn a lot, I respect people and their opinions even if I disagree. On your post I agreed, if I offended much apologies. 2nd time someone questioned my intelligence, I’m going to have to reevaluate, stupid and unfunny is no way to go thru life.
Just to be clear I never asked production of the SRT-4 vs. future value.

well pony killer...i know/have met quite a few SRT-4 drivers/owners and what worries me is that a few that i have met carry what i call the mustang mentality..."if its not a mustang (or in this case an SRT4) its not worth racing". i am well aware that the SRT4 will smoke my stratus...im sure that every large group of owners will stand behind their cars being the greatest, but some people just arent realistic...there is still a good chance that i will get an SRT-4, so i dont want people to think that i dont like/dont respect the SRT-4, but it has to be taken for what it is...a very fast neon.
that being said...im sure that with a name like Pony Killer we would get along just fine...if it means what i think it means.

indeed...i hate mustangs....and 99% of the people who own mustangs..."if its not a mustang, its not worth racing"...those type of people...
You've just made my point as to the how and why the SRT-4 will be a valued collectors item. Who would have ever believed any Dodge Dart being worth more than it was new, but now the better optioned ones are going for ten times that amount and more and it was the hind end of the Dodge line up, they just happened to make performance oriented versions of them and now they are valuable.

[ it's no fun to race a car that you have 2 lengths on before you shift into second gear....

I dunno it kinda looked like a shadow or sundance or sumthin like that but I saw a couple for sale for like 14000 dollars and they were in the K car era like the Glh .......
right..i mentioned all of the sick turbo K cars...
however, i think mitch might know this, and maybe our shelby owners...werent the high performance K cars like the GLHS MUCH more limited production?

Yes. They were actually finished up by Shelby Auto. and were numbered with a plate in them telling the owner which one built they have. There were some that carried the Shelby name and used Shelby parts and were also limited in production, but they were factory built all the way and were not as limited in numbers as the actual Shelby built cars. You'll know an actual Shelby built car when you see one inside and see the numbered plate. The most popular actual Shelbys are the Shelby Charger and the GLH and GLH-S. The most popular Shelby named car that wasn't actually built by Shelby was the Daytona Shelby Z, Daytona CS and Daytona Shelby (they dropped the Z from the name in '89 and up for some reason).
