Default how many srt-4's have been built?

Anyone know how many built each year. I’ve read between the lines in a few articles sounds like not many. White will look good, in 04 not available so I bought silver.

I would guess somewhere around 15-17000 cars total for all 3 years. It is just a guess, but it should be reasonably close. That is, unless they saw the success of the '03 and '04 and built more for '05, in which case it could be more.

BTW, Do you guys think that the SRT4 is going to be a classic or a collecter in the future, a car that holds its value because of its rarety??

Thanks
Andrew

i doubt it....chrysler corporation has made lots of cars in the past with a much more limited production range, and thsoe cars arent worth anything now.

It will be a collectors item some day, but not for a long time. Being that it is a limited production car that is a high performance model and the second fastest car they have to the Viper, it's guaranteed. All the collectable cars from the past are high performance models and the more options or oddest options with the highest performance engine are the most valued. Rarity means something, but it has to be more than just that. A 1 of 1 built 4 door slant six '75 Dart with an odd option that makes it 1 of 1 built that way is still worthless, but if it's a rare and highly desired car like a '70 or '71 Hemi Cuda convertible with a 4 spd., then it's worth $1,000,000. It also depends on the other cars made around the same time by that manufacturer and with it being the fastest Mopar car other than the Viper, which few can afford now let alone in 20 years+, and limited in numbers makes it highly likely. It is also on of the fastest Mopars ever, beating out many of the musclecars even. This too helps in making it worth more in the future.

i dont mean to get everyone panties in a bunch (no offense intended to the ladies, just a figure of speech), but keep in mind, it is still a neon. theyre very fast, but i dont forsee it ever being anything more to future enthusiasts than say, the GLHS Omni is now. the hemi cuda's and such are worth a million dollars (which is debatable) because they are american legends. much like the viper may be in 20 years, but in twenty years, its still a neon with a turbocharger, and nothing more. any cuda in showroom shape is worth a ton to a collector, but the odds of a 4 cylinder turbocharged neon ever being compared to anything built in the 70s, even by ford, is a bit much, IMO.

Badstrat You got my panties all bunched up! I was planning on selling my SRT-4
To pay for my retirement, but now I guess I’ll have to get a new plan. Thanks for all the extra work I’m gonna have coming up with a new plan. If you can’t say something nice maybe you shouldn’t post! Remember it’s not even an SRT it’s just an R/T. Sorry about last sentence I should of kept quite.

yeah, well sometimes the truth hurts...the difference is that i know my car isnt a mclaren....i test drove SRT4s prior to buying my Stratus, but Im not willing to pay 22 grand for a car that doesnt have leather or doesnt at least offer power everything. So i paid more for a slower, yet nicer car. you asked a question, and i answered it, newbie....and you're right, you should have "kept quite", and if you can not think of anything smart to say, dont post.

like i said...the SRT-4 can be a fast car, but value is determined by demand. If no one wanted a GNX, they wouldnt be worth anything. people want them, so they are worth something. In the late 60s chrysler couldnt GIVE away the superbird, and now its one of the most valuable of the old mopars.
