Does Mopar/Catback Exhaust Increase HP?
I am looking at getting the Mopar exhaust for my SRT4, and am wondering if that will increase my horsepower or torque at all since I am running stock... Well I have a CAI and OCC...
Is the exhaust something that only helps once you mod your car with stage 1,2, or 3 or other turbo mods and such???
Thanks
Andrew

5 HP maybe?? even with Stages it's not leaps and bounds... and you won't feel 5HP... just a guess.... the Mopar exhaust is rumored to only be good up to 300(?) HP...
If you are going to stop at stage 2 it will be fine, and add a little power. It will help the car reach its potential with s1 or s2. If you think you'll end up going to s3, think about a 3" exhaust.
you may gain 10 hp tops bu trust me you do feel a differance it was the first mod i did to my car.get above 350 hp then switch to 3inch exhaust.
you get a lot more trq... and it helps with other mods a lot. i think its retarded to build up your engine and leave stock exhaust.

I've always heard the numbers thrown around on how much power the Mopar/Borla exhaust is good up to, but Mopar has the 355 horsepower rating on the Stage 3 with 100 octane and the Mopar/Borla exhaust. So it should be good up to 355 horsepower at least.
Here it is straight from Mopar: "The Stage 3 Kit with Turbo Toys in high-octane mode increases power to an amazing 355 hp at 5200 rpm and 365 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3200–4800 rpm! The Mopar Performance Cat-Back Exhaust System (P4510461) is required to obtain these power figures."
