Installed K&N CAI
Also finally put in the K&N- thought anyone who was thinking 'bout it might like to see it. As you will see if you do a search, most people like it. I love it. I sounds awesome- you get a great intake sound and you can really hear the whistle of the turbo much better now, as RoadRunner has mentioned in the past. Very easy install, great directions, looks greatm and K&N guarantees a horsepower gain or your $ back, which is a nice little feature (of course you have to dyno the car pre- and post- install, with no other mods in between, to prove it, so most people won't bother- I like it regardless). The filter sits wicked low, though- living in the NW I'm going to have to be careful. I figure for the winter months I'll convert it to short-ram, just to be safe- nice feature to have.

it's just blue silicone hose- i got it from a performace shop here in town- i still have alot to replace- all the little black hoses you see in the pic (including the ones on the cai)- i just haven't had time to do them all yet. i thought about blue hoses for the intercooler piping, but i think i'm going to go with a hard-pipe kit- it should hold boost better.
Looks nice, I have the Mopar CAI full 3" on order. You should also get a breather filter. The hose comming from your engine that is connected to your intake needs to be disconnected. YOu need to plug up the intake nipple, and put on the breather attached to the hose comming from the engine. This prevents oil from spilling into your turbo..
Your turbo well thank you..
Your turbo well thank you..
yeah, actually i just bought a polished aluminum catch can, so i'm going to route the pcv and the cover vent throught it so i don't just end up with an oily breather filter- i just haven't gotten around to it yet. thanks for the idea, though!

Very nice! Glad to see and hear it. It runs really well in the winter with the full set up, but it takes forever on really cold days for it to ever warm up. Whats odd is that my polished K & N has the blue elbow and hose while your blue K & N has black ones. They should have given me the black which would match my colors better and you the blue to match yours better.
