I AM A NOOB!
get s3r with turbo toys, the mopar borla exhaust, maxxfab 3 inch downpipe, k&n Typhoon Cold Air Intake, HKS SSQV Blow Off Valve , and you should be set for around $1144.88 other than the stage 3

With the T3/T4 your going to need to tune ALOT more than if you had an S2 or S3 setup. Understand that the Mopar kits are meant to not have to be tuned, and to be "plug-and-play" applications. Though the installs can be painstakingly annoying, especially with the S3, its well worth it.
Another thing, which PSIChick knows more about than I do, is the problems associated with the non-mopar kits. Melted wires, leaks, hoses breaking, etc etc etc....people who stick with mopar have less problems generally than those who don't. Just something to keep in mind, and PSIChick feel free to add what I missed on this one, as you have S3 yourself...and know firsthand.

s2 isn't comparable at all to a turbo upgrade, they are two completly different things. s2 is injectors, ecu, and wga, and uses the stock turbo.
s3 is more comparable to an aftermarket kit since it comes with a new turbo. it uses a TD05, which is comparable to a big 16g for yoiu dsm guys. the most common agp kit is the 50 trim. it's about 1600-1800 for that, depending on options. however, to go from stock to a complete 50 trim set up, you will also need to get: s1 ($200) or s2 ($250) ecu (used prices listed, new it's $300 for s1 and $700 for s2), fuel ($900), powerpaq ($500) or emanage ($500), mbc ($50) or ebc (better choice, but $400). so for
for either kit, you'll need to think about supporting mods such as exhaust, clutch (not really a choice, the stock clutch won't hold either kit), fmic, tb, intake, etc. plus with the 50 add in at least $100 for an hour of dyno time, probably more in the long run.
so the choice is really up to you. it's a lot easier to go with the s3 as it's very plug and play and comes with all the major parts that you will need. aftermarket kits will make more power, and you also have to figure in that s3 really needs race gas to get its full potential while aftermarket kits can still do very well on pump gas. you will get more lag with the 50 trim than s3. also, and what did it for me too, was that with either kit, making 350hp or 500hp, you'll run about the same!
i'm sure that i left a lot out on this post, so let me know what else you need to know.
oh, and fyi - i finally got to the track yesterday, my best time for the day was a 12.7@112, and i bogged the launch and granny shifted 2nd. it wasn't bad considering that even the s2 cars were having a hard time getting into the 13's yesterday. it was very hot and everyone was spinning down the track. i would have maybe done better if i hadn't split my driver's side axle into two pieces during my burn out for my 3rd pass. oh well, gotta get a set of DSS's.....

well the dss's are gonna have to wait a little. jeff from moparsupercenter is sending me out a replacement driver's side axle today, so i'll be back and running on wednesday. the cheapest i can find the dss stage 3's for is 779, so i need to save up some cash!
First off, being 16 and having this car is crazy. Second, being 16 and putting a S3 on it, Suicide. Learn how to drive before you put your car around a tree and kill yourself. I don't mean to be rude, but i know what I was like when i was 16, and that was in my mom's 4cylider honda accord.
First off, being 16 and having this car is not crazy. I don't drive like every other 16 year old male. Please don't use the stereoptype that all teenage drivers are reckless idiots because its not always true. Second, I'm not getting the stage 3, Im just getting to know the mods for my car and that part confused me, so I asked.
NOT A BAD DRIVER
NOT A BAD DRIVER
