it sounds to me like highrevr/tflea doesnt understand how a turbo works. if the intake isnt attached to the turbo in some way it doesnt work.

 

i give up im going to go shoot myself to put me ou of my own misery.lol

 

OOPS sorry .....I dunno what I was thinkin.......For some reason I thought I still had to keep my throttle bodied filter for my bolt on kit.....but I still want the same compressor s/u...and if at all possible can I use the SRT-4 intercooler w/ my 420 motor? or will I have to get the SRTs intake manifold?..... See Im tryin to blueprint this motor to be similar to srt-4s for power reasons b/c the guy Im havin stroke my 420 a motor and such said it could be done... I really want to try to use stage 1 2 and 3 components if possible or even the non dodge brand aftermarket route......

 

Damn thats sad too cuz I have a Talon tsi and gsx eclipse 1st gens...Im embarrassed now lol..... but i really havent done anything to them just this n/a NEON....SORRY sorry sorry I guess I will have to go check an srt-4 and mine side by side to see if the parts are interchangeable from the Turbo manifold to the valve cover and so-on......also do you guys have any cam upgrades on yours? Or are the stock ones more then enough?

 

im pretty sure the parts are not interchangeable... your engine sits backwards compared to a srt4... its like the eclipse turbo and non turbo they can not change out engines with out cutting off the whole front of the eclipse and welding it onto the n/a 2nd half. its crazy.

 

Are you talking about my car? My header is in the back my throttle body is up front....why wouldnt it be similar? The 420 in the eclipses have header up front and intake in the back......same block just diff. s/u there is a pic in the post down above of the 420 in the eclipse/talon......Neons sit opposite of that....

 

Totally different.....not a bolt up. The 420a is alot weaker, and has entirely different internals. I've seen it done with half SRT-4 parts and half Stratus Sedan 2.4 parts though. Hybrid from Maine.


Though Im still 100% confused about the purpose of this post.....ENLIGHTEN ME!

 

Well to build an srt4 motor since they dont make them an aftermark option it would be about 10000 dollars to buy a whole wrecked srt-4 it would cost over 5 or 6 grand.......and is the header up front on the NEON srt-4 or is it in back???cuz maybe i could just pull the 420 eclipse motor and swap if that were the case.......

 

Im tryin to save some money and Yeah the motor is weak but w/ a total rebuild and internal mods it can be just as strong.......If someone knows some site or yards that will sell me an entire srt-4 motor lemme know cuz id really like to buy one!!!
