I was just curious if there was a compressor intake and mounting kit available for the turbo yet???????? And who makes em? does anyone have this done to their cars yet????? And if so PICS pleeeeezzzzzzzz........!!!!!!!!

 

Noone knows about em??????? they look like a regular intake that mounts up to your turbo.............on the intake side.... anybody ?? custom job maybe????

 

do you mean a cold air intake? the srt's intake comes mounted to the turbo, as does every aftermarket cai out there. where else would it mount to?

 

yes .....exactly to the compressor .......do they have one??????? How does the intake come mounted to the turbo??????? Is it a two part intake cuz on some of the turbo kits they are separated from the INTAKE manifold for two separate Intake throttle body and intake for compressor Where charged air is taken in through and sent through the FMIC....do you understand what I am tryin to say??? Cuz on the engine diagram it looks like just the throttle bodied intake...for the SRT-4 that is maybe someone could post a complete view of the engine or complete diagram for a 360 degree look at the setup cuz in ive only seen a few turbo'd cars this same way and im goin by theory of how the SRT-4 is built .....I plan on finding one eventually but If I cant Im going w/ a 16g mitsu turbo and intercooler and building it as close to the SRT engine and a custom valve cover to match. Maybe someone could post em up some sites that have wrecked srt engines for me and really cheap srt4 cars that i could junk the body and get the motor........Greddy makes the same intake im talkin bout for the GST or GSX eclipses but the turbo is mounted in the FRONT......

 

ok...i haven't a clue what that post was supposed to say lol.

the intake is attached directly to the turbo. the turbo piping goes under the engine, through the fmic, through the tb, and into the engine. this is how the car comes stock.

lol me too i dont know what i just did but i think it was in circles.....ill just give you a picture of what im talkin bout......You can see on the turbo inlet side of this 420 model talon/eclipse where they are separate from each other. From the CAI well the , well the intake from the turbo's side. Its called the AMBIENT AIR INLET, It pulls in filtered air rather, which is a lot better for it. I dont really know if there are any gains from such use of it but id imagine it helps prolong the life of your system. Is that better. No more typing on two hours of sleep for me........LOL

ok i see a filter on the turbo, but what else are you talking about?

 

I just wanted to know if they made them for the NEONs so when I get the TURBO upgrade or SRT-4 upgrade I want one..... But I want it not under the car or near the the FIREwall, more atop of the motor so It could breath better when I get the vented hood. Sorry for the clarity...of this post next time Ill proof read and edit before I post.
