First, I'd like to see that e-mail, so I can make a copy of it and show it to my dealer. Second, there IS a school of thought that says it's best to break in an engine on dino oil instead of syn, Amsoil's website states that, if I remember right. After the break in, you switch to syn.
I was told by my salesman and my service manager that my SRT-4 came from the factory with Mobile 1 in it. They stressed the need to use Mobile 1 (or any good syn) for the life of the engine. Even if the SRT-4 DID have dino oil in it from the factory, I'd still (actually I already did) switch to synthetic Amsoil or Mobile 1.
Except for the matter of being lied to (or mis-informed) it really isn't a super big deal...once ya get past that first oil change, YOU control what goes in it. That's why I take MY OWN oil to the dealer and WATCH them pour it in.[sm=smiley4.gif]

I was told the same thing by the salesman and the service manager when I bought mine as well. The SRT-4 comes from the factory with Mobil 1 synthetic already in it from the factory, just like the Viper. All you have to do is read your owners manual, it tells you everything you need to know and want to know. I cannot believe how many people ignore the owners manual, heck it's even a fun read. It tells you to do full throttle runs after 300 miles to help promote a good break-in, but not in the lower gears as it could be very bad for everything.[sm=smiley23.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]
Sorry dustyloins I alrady delete that Email. You can ask them also. It took only 2 or 3 days for them to reply back the Email.
There many Europian car used mobil 1 out from the factory. Most of them is 100000 up up that why I email and ask this question to Dode corp.
after 1500 miles i bring my car to the dealer ask them to swith oil to mobil 1. They say it might cuz some thing bad to the engine and I have to wait till 3000 or 5000 !!!!!
I ask him about turbo timer.
His ans it What is it ???///
Should i trust them after all ?????? For me 3000 mile is time to switch the oil

Hummmm, I think I would be using a different dealer for my service work. You really need to use synthetic oil in it. The SRT-4 owner's manual recommends it by name and you can use either 5W-30 for colder climates or 10W-30 for warmer temps. And change the oil at every 3 month/3000 mile point. Dealers don't make a lot of money on oil changes and if they are busy they sometimes try to brush you off. My dealer built a separate bay just for oil changes and they got me in and out in less than 30 minutes.
I'm keeping my CD service manual in the glove compartment and if they give me any hassle at the dealer, we'll be looking at it TOGETHER...!![sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]
