142mph
thats the speed at wich a driver was clocked at in his SRT-4 142mph. the record in oregon is 156mph for a guy on a bike. this winter a guy in his honda civic was busted at 138-140mph. the two guys this year might get to sharea jail cell. keep the speeding on the track please
Hell, I'm hitting 155+ mph all the time....I have to slow the F^&k down though before I do get a ticket...I guess I'm not that bright behind the wheel. First off, it probably wouldn't be a ticket, it will be a visit to the black and white hotel. Not cool.
Keep it to the track is right.....Then again my best friend says that your not speeding if your going 110.....120 and over is speeding [&:]. *sigh* Its dangerous out there, if your gonna speed, speed safely.

Whoah!!!! You just insulted your spedo head! THe EVIC stands for the Electronic Vehicle Information System, stupid acronym for a trip computer.
The MIC, (mechanical instrument cluster, love those Chrysler acronyms! LOL), yes I am aware of that. I have hit 155, but chickened out for the last 5 mph.
Do you have any idea how difficult how that shot was to get??? I have had my motorcycle up to 164mph. I was more nervous at 155 in the car than on the bike at 164! After 145 on the bike, the sensation of speed levels off. In a car, 150 plus is down right nerve racking.
" DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME BOYS AND GIRLS. WE DON"T WANT ANYONE GETTING KILLED.....PLEASE"
Besides, the State Troopers get slightly upset.

they didn't get a ticket, they are getting jail time, the reason i think he was only going 142 was the three people in the car with him. he also claims that his car can't go that fast, thats his court defense. i wanna go ask them to let me proove him wrong. i heard it is 4yrs he is faceing. the road he was on is not that smooth, the signs say 55 but must go 90 on it. the real pisser is the fact that some jerkoff at work still insults the car, he was totaly surprised it could go that fast. still thinks his accord is better.
I can't say I am innocent in the speeding dept., however I am pretty careful about only hitting it when I am the only one that is at risk. I must share my lucky high speed experience in this car.
First off - I have been north of 150 a number of times (at the track
) and hit 158 on the street before stage 2 and the rest of whats on there now. The car can definitely go that fast - hell - dcw even says it tops out around 150(heh).
This particular day, I was on the way home from DE with a friend and we decided we wanted to push it so he could feel how stable it is (after hearing me jabber about the cars great road manners for weeks). We proceeded to take the highway north and started really moving. I wasn't actually looking at the clock, because we were taking gradual turns, but he said it was definitely well over 145. I saw a car in the median, up ahead, but since it was Brown, I didn't think about slowing down. Geuss I forgot that DE state troopers drive brown cars[:@].
To make a long story short, I saw that it was the fuzz wayyyyy too late and stabbed the brakes, just before I crossed in front of him. Of course he pulled out after me. I (as I always do) immediately stopped and pulled over. He walked up and looked at me with a smirk and said Do you have any idea how fast you were going? I fessed up and told him that I knew I was going way too fast. He saw the performance meter on the window and asked if it was a radar detector, and I told him what it was.
We talked for a little bit, and he finally told me that he clocked me at 84, but knew I was going much faster by the fact that when I saw him my rears locked up and smoked and he saw sparks from the brakes (OOOOOOPS). I shook my head at my stupidity as he walked away to his car.
I couldn't believe it when he came back and gave me a warning and complimented the car. He said he appreciated the honesty, and liked Dodges. What a lucky m-f I was that day.
Bottom line is - I think it is all in attitude. I have gotten out of tons of tickets. Wear humble pie, respect the officer and do what ever the f... he says, and usually, your outcome will come out much more favorably.
