Finally after 5 years of wanting an srt 4, I find a beautiful red 05...fill out all the paperwork,get approved for the loan, set it up with the dealer to pick it up the next day....the next morning the owner of the dealership calls me and says he has bad news....."your car was stolen last night. Someone broke in and stole the lockbox key" MY CAR WAS THE ONLY DAMN CAR STOLEN!!!! WTF!!! .......the search continues!

 

did you correct the sales manager that it was "his" car that was stolen.
since you never took possession of it?

hope the dealers insurance will cover any losses you may suffer.

 

The SRT-4 was the only car taken off the lot, strange. But yea I have to agree unless you took possession of the car it is still there’s and should be insured to the full value of the car.

 

The guy or stole it picked out the coolest car out of the lot . Yeah Im with the other two you were getting the srt4 the keys werent in your hand so the srt4 was not yours just yet still theres. Hopefully it comes back in just as nice shape as it left in than you wont be out. Waiting 5 yrs I would pray they find it and in very nice condtion.

That's right...money talks! Probably gave to the other guy, maybe that person had it all in cash. All auto dealers aren't angels! Or it was really stolen...keep an eye on the dealer and see what happens. Good luck getting another one...it probably wasn't meant for you, but there's one sitting waiting for you!

 

Hope that doesn't cause any issues for you, it was their car when it was stolen... I wouldn't put it past them selling it to someone else, I still haven't found an honest car dealer.
