I got into a little pisssing contest with some people that said it will take thousands of dollars to make an srt4 run 11s. I brought up the fact that my friends 2004 stage 2 ran 11.90s with 125 shot, drag radials, and header. Then they make like its such a huge deal its a stage 2. How much do you have to pay to make an srt4 a stage 2 and what else do you get?

 

12 to 1500 dollers for stg2 w/toys.

 

wow...i don't know if that thread is a good example of the board, but they're not very nice people.

there are srt's in the low 12's on minimal mods. tell them that just last year jean (srtgurl) ran a 12.6 with about $500 in mods, and no nitrous. i'd like to see a camaro do that.

 

Yes, thats a perfect example of that message forum. Ive been a member/mod for about 8 years there. It didnt start out like that. Most of them arent cool people at all. Not very open minded, knowitall, arrogant, dumb ****** that run their mouths.

Hey!!!!! What about that Cummins sized compressor hanging off the back of that motor????? Was that a freebee? Last weekend at NE Dragway, there were many SRT's in twelves, some ran 11's. (I was not there, but my buddy went.)

 

i was talking pre-atp kit. but now that you mention it, yes i do believe that was a freebie, or a heavily discounted part. she is sponsored by atp.

 

I think her emanage alone cost 500 bucks....I think she had alot more than $500 dollars invested into that car.

Though another example would be Rick, who's car with less than $1000 dollars worth of engine/performance modifications, however ghetto they happened to be put on, ran a 12.6 with street tires, and no bottle.

Its very possible, and yeah....that board is interesting to say the least!

 

geez 12s are a walk in the park now a days for srts.

 

ok people if you really want to get technical since no one seems to understand what i'm trying to say: jean ran a 12.6 with a mbc, wga, exhaust, intake, and a set of dr's april of last year (possibly a few other odds and ends, but the bill was under 1k for everything). she didn't always have a big turbo set up, and was able to get the car to some good times with out it. remember the video of her running that viper? she didn't have a big turbo then either.

yes, it's possible to get some good times with not that much money in these cars.
