Over revving
Well I did it again, took the wife's car grocery shopping and on the way home the light was about to change so I moved over in the next lane and hit second and over revved it and the fuel shutoff came on. Does this hurt? I certainly do not want to wreck my wife's car.
yes you can do damage doing that. the fuel cut out helps from you over boosting and hurting your engine by leaning it out to much.
make sure you are in the correct gear if you are going to hit full throtle. on a small engine like we have the correct gear is very important. just learn where you should be gear wise and dont do it again.

Thanks for the reply's. Yes I did bounce of the rev limiter. Was watching traffic and not tach!! Wife just came home and not complaining about it not running right.[sm=smiley20.gif]
Just make sure you don't do it again...and keep quiet about it! She'll NEVER know! [:-]
