I don’t know what sts is, but I was at a stop light and was doing real good until I ran out of band. So I grabbed the shifter hard! Guess what? I held the ball and nothing else. I lost bad! So it goes! I was very happy it fit back on. Next time I’ll get him!!!!!!

An STS is a Short Throw Shifter. Mopar's reduces from 27-28% I believe from the stock throws.

Yes, pull up hard....but don't hit yourself in the face like I did...doesn't feel too good lol

On the srtforums there are maddog shifters that have like a 50% reduction, front to back / side to side. so far i've seen good things about it on there.

Your absolutely right Biopulse. They have 36% and 50% I believe. PSIChick has one. I stuck with the Mopar, since just about everything I have on my car and/or want on my car as far as performance/engine etc go is/will be Mopar. 28% is enough for me....I don't race or need a shorter throw, the Mopar is short enough for me!

yup, i have the 50% and couldn't be happier with it. the only thing i noticed is that the shifter sits in a different place now, so i have changed how i shift. this isn't a big deal, but i rip my shift **** off on a regular basis now when before it would stay on.

What about trying that shift **** with the screws in it and the threaded top part from modern performance? or maybe a machine shop can thread the top of your shifter or something, ( i know nothing about what machine shops can do but i'm taking a wild guess lol)
