Default IAC and TPS

Okay I know where to get the TPS repair harness....but I need to find an IAC. Anybody have any ideas on where I can get it offline, besides ordering it through a dealership and getting raped on it?

Yeah thats what Im figuring. Ive got one last resort with my dealership, then Im just gonna replace it myself.

It has a really rough idle. It'll be smooth, then itll surge/buck and go back to normal...the tachometer moves between 600-1000 while its doing this.

It'll steadily buck around 2,000 rpms at 30mph especially in 3rd gear....but it does it in any gear.

It refuses to start some mornings (no fuel pump drive noise at all...just accessory lights, dings, etc the whole 9 yards). It acts up especially when its hot out, or when its been raining.

It will stall out at a redlight. But not a stall as in you don't know how to drive a standard (which is more violent). The engine just begins to purr and the RPMS drop out. Its then that you cycle the key and try to start it again that it wont start.

Im saying TPS/IAC....the dealership can't get the P0123 code or the code for the IAC either. Wiggle the TPS connecter and the car acts retarded....When trying to take off in first, or when under light acceleration in first and you try to give it more throttle, the car hesitates before going anywhere, and bogs down immensely.

I have a co-pilot in the car but why the hell after a month is this thing not throwing any codes????! It seems like everyone else's car has no problems throwing the P0123 code, and mine just wont do it. Didnt do it on S0, and hasnt done it on S1 either.

Another thing. 60mph in 5th gear, if you peg it...the car barely moves...it bucks and surges all over the place with the BOV fluttering like a mother while your driving down the road.

Yet they still wont listen to me. Its been towed in once, spent four days there last week, they refuse to do anything until they get a code (well I should say the POS Service manager does). Then again that asshat cant even read a DRB, let alone tell me anything about my car.

Dropping the hammer in 5th at 60 should do that, your way out of the powerband, WOT @ 60 should be 3rd, 4th at worst, but the other stuff is not normal. I suggest a bunch of reading (it's like 16-17 pages) over at SRTforums, dealer problems/service section, "throttle sticking a 3K"

While a lot of the symptoms are not common, a couple are, and might be related. Mine had the throttle stick, and never once threw a code, same when my plugs/wires were carbon tracked and as it bucked bad enough to lock the seat belts. With a tech onboard watching, nothing.

Oh I know it'll do that normally in 5th gear....but this is neck snapping bad, just like you described with your seatbelt locking. Its always had a bit of a lug at 60mph in 5th gear, but nothing like this even though your still at around 2krpms....it shouldnt buck like its trying to throw you out of the car.

They had my car for four days. One guy took it home wednesday night...it died for him, and bucked, stalled, and idled horrid. But he didnt have a DRB on it, and it didnt throw any codes. Next night it went out with a different guy DRB strapped on and ready to go. I swear to god my car KNOWS the DRB is there and just busts my *****, because it did nothing.

I picked it up Friday and it was okay all weekend (as far as dying on me) until this AM, when it just wouldnt start, and once it was started, didnt want to stay that way when stopped at a red light, stop sign or in traffic.

Im about ready to buy the entire engine wiring harness and replace it myself im that fed up with it. Theres enough stuff to worry about in life...let alone if your brand new car is going to start in order to get you to work every morning.

C

Its had the bad idle, buck etc for about a month now, however almost two weeks ago it started reving on me when I shifted into reverse (foot on brake and clutch to the floor nowhere NEAR the gas), up to 3000 rpms. I have excessive blow offs....they last way longer than usual, its kind of weird. And the hesitations just keep getting worse.

What are your plugs gapped at? I had one in the shop last month with similar symptoms, and all we did was regap the plugs and it was fine.

I honestly don't know what they're gapped at. They replaced them with new ones about 3 weeks back, along with new wires. My only ideas are coilpack, tps, IAC, or a bad PCM. But the PCM isnt bad, as you know its brand new.

They were stock plugs/wires, well the mopar upgraded wires (so I was told...POS service manager *growls*). Im assuming they were gapped to stock specifications, because he didnt gap them, he just kinda put them in. I was sitting there when he did it.

I give up....I bring back the Co-Pilot DRBmajigger tomorrow morning, then we'll see what that says.

My car was doing something similar. It would pop really bad and almost feel like it would be hitting a brick wall. Dont even get me started on the higher rpms. I just dropped my the dealership and got a new tps wiring kit and installed it myself. The bucking went away but my exhaust was popping like crazy so I regapped my plugs and everything is awsome now.

Plug,

Don't beleive thew hype! it very well could be the new PCM. just because it's new, doesn't mean it ain't broke!!!

Also. F*#@k that dealership, take it elsewhere, let someone else look at it!!
