I just got an overseas car brochure from GM and the first picture of the Slobalt is of the dash display....and the speedo went up to 220 [:-] !!!!!! I am pretty sure it wasn't kph...(kilometers) and If it was MPH.....(once again) WTF[sm=alcoholic.gif]???? No way in HEEELLLL that thing would come close to 160mph let alone 220mph???? Anyone stationed overseas, try and confirm this by checking out a GM brochure...I got one in the Naples NEX......NEED INPUT....thanks.....

 

That must be a missprint because i went an looked at one at a dealership near me and the speedo only goes to 140. That must have been either the GTO or the Vett's speedo u saw.

 

No....definitly the Cobalt....it had a page dedicated to the car.....and it was a picture, not printed words....Like I said, I hope for GM's sake that they took a picture of a KPH car It would just be another desperate attempt to try and market the car....Hope some of the EURO SRT-4 drivers will check it out....it was the basic brochure that the Military Car Sales hands out.....I think roach is in Germany....Roach if you can find a brochure, you can see it.....

Got to be in KMh. 220 KMh is = to 136.7014mph. About right for what we would call a 140 mph speedo. I could be wrong, but I am just an American, living in America.

 

I am an American, unfortunatly (for now) living in Italy.....Usually they will have MPH in big numbers, and Kph in small....This had just one set......HHHMMMMMMM.....

That is wierd that it only had one set of numbers, every car I have ever driven, overseas, had both. Maybe it is a photo from a pre-production model.

I have a friend w/ a slobalt who claims he got his to 160 mphs...Ill look at it but that speedo could be right. Or hes just a GM moron who tries to outdo other cars by talkin poopy...lol

 

But if it aint a typo, euro speedo or anything else, why would THAT car warrent a 220mph speedo......that is what I am getting at....how high does the Vette's go? Porsche? Viper??? I mean sounds like they are trying to creat a Psudo-fast car.....for the market they are going after....the twenty somthing pimple faces who can boast " My car's speedo goes to 220 mph....it's gota be fast!!!!!"

Post, I would honestly rather live in Philly anyday, being (me from N.Y) over Naples IT......only plus in this place I can always hit 140+++ here....if not more!!!!! No traffic laws here.....just have to be REEAALLLL careful when driving, Neopolitans get drivers liscences from cereal boxes....or they are "Grandfathered"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![sm=bangbang.gif]

HHHHMMMMM.....I musta been on crack that day [8D] .....seein' things, unless it was a Euro-spec.....thanks for clearing that up.....I liked GM (older muscle cars, of course) and am kinda glad THEY aren't smokin' crack and put a 220mph speedo in the car.......[sm=badidea.gif]
