most hp stock turbo can handle ?
i was curious about what is the most hp a stock turbo could handle flow wise because i was looking at geting a race port and polished head with cams and if it could flow enough air to keep up with the increased capacity of he head and cams. the cams would be the crane -12s. what is the most hp anybodies heard of making on a stock turbo with out nos? thanks everyone
300 hp max on a stock Turbo... anything above that, you will have TGT problems

Yup, somewhere north of 300 on std. octane.
I'd guess, once you replace springs and valves, and did all that work, maybe a little ems, running in HOM you could produce significantly north of that, but I haven't seen it done yet. I would guess We are running around 320 in HOM right now with what we've done. You might have 10 or 20 extra hp with the fmic...
It's probably because if you spent all that money to achieve serious hp with the stock turbo you could've easily replaced it and gotten a lot more hp pretty safely. Just playing devils advocate, since a lot of people who tune that hard don't mind losing warranty, or street driveability.
Personally, I would love to see it done, since I have put a good bit into the car, gradually, like you, and hate to waste it all.
BTW, are there any dynos on the island, and have you gotten any dyno runs in?

there are plenty of stock turbo srt4s running around w/ 300whp...if you go onto srtforums there is a thread in the performance mods section stickys by aaroneon and it gives you a formula of mods that should put you in the 300whp range...stock turbo dyno record as of now i believe is 329whp
im hoping for somehwere in the 300-320 range when i dyno next weekend

im planning on making 300 hp with no turbo upgrade. I want more power, but not as much wear on the engine, so basically im just going to let it breathe easier. s2, turboback, huge FMIC, cai.
yes there is dyno on the island but no i have not dynoed yet. just got my w/i system will be putting that in soon. im going to talk with gary to see what they have gotten out of that head and cam combo running stg2 boost while increasing air flow through the head work and mild cam upgrade wouldnt put that much more stress on the motor then it already has. just taking a wait and see about it right now.
