Default Overboost srt4

I have a 2003 dodge srt4 and im throwing code P0234 "overboost"?
Recently i bought a coldpipe with a greddy bov flange so i bought a universal "greddy"(pos) and it flutters instead of the purgin sound I want? I only have a cold air intake too..no big mods at 5 1/2 rpm in 2nd i backfire and my car throws the engine light n i check it and it says P0234"overboost"

boost turned up past 17psi? i think the pcm throws that code when you boost over 17psi, other wise are all vac lines hooked up?

the gauge might have just went bad, or the line going to the gauge may have come unhooked, another thing to check for the overboost code would be check and make sure all the vac lines and rubber connections are in good shape, i think the overboost code is tripped when the tip and map sensor see different pressures, but it could be something wrong with your bov i suppose, if the red line is hooked up in the cold side pipe before the bov it would see a higher psi than in the intake manifold due to a leaking bov, not positive that is it but its a thought.
