okay this guy at work comes up and says he bought a mopar BOV for his srt-4, but now he only boost 10psi instead of 17psi, thats what he was hitting befor BOV. I told him when i installed mine on my STI i didnt lose any boost. he also said he can hear a loud hissss noise now i told him somehting is wrong, what do u all think?


also is the srt-4 eng from dodge or is it like many others and a product of japan?

Check his bolt tq & vaccum lines

check the torque on the bolts (leaky gasket) or the vacuum line on the turbo. either one could be leaking boost if they are not re-installed properly.

thats what i told he said no way he installed it right, i laughed. he said ill get a boost controller and turn it back to 17psi, so who makes the eng in the srt-4?

dodge makes the engine in the srt.

he has a boost leak. tell him to check if the bov is installed backwards, it happens a lot.

along those lines....I bought a used mopar bov and it has no instructions.

I'm following these that I found last week while looking on the various forums:

but they dont say what to do with the factory internal baffle. I'm assuming it goes in the desk drawer or something for storage right??
