Not too shaby...
Ahhh yes good post. At least it beat all others than the Mini Cooper S. And though the S doesn't really have the power we have unless its got the optional Supercharger, it handles 100x better. Which just by utilizing appearance and not stalking down numbers, is a given. Though it is a pretty hefty car for its small size, it can really haul some serious *** around corners.
The SRT-4 is in a magazine this month as the top ten funnest cars to drive....ever. A 60-year old man drove an orange blast....and LOVED IT.
Its there with, The Dodge Viper SRT-10, Subaru WRX STi, Corvette, Mini Cooper S, BMW 330i( i think), and a few others....but it is finally getting the praise it deserves....years later, but at least now they know

The xB aside, that is some pretty damn good company.
I used to hate American car companies, and I think for years it was deserved. Infact until june of 2004 I did. Then I bought this little monster and all that has changed. Dodge has done the impossible and taken a NEON and improved it so much that is is one of the best cars on the road. If I didn't own it I wouldn't believe it.
I would like to see an article on top most improved car companies. Dodge would have to be #1. Their recent efforts - with the srt-4,6,8,and 10 in many different iterations(count 'em 7, I believe) have to represent one of the most remarkable turn-arounds in automotive history.

The new '06 Porsche Carrera S sports 355bhp, and 295lb-ft. It is rear wheel drive. Somehow, in this year's car, Porsche has extracted a 3.9 sec 0-60 time and .98g on the skidpad.
Also amazing is the fact that it can go toe to toe with a f430 and make the same times lap after lap when the f430 is 200,000+.
It is faster to 60 than the all wheel drive turbo, which is still on the '05 platform, and has over 400 hp. It also beats it out by a tenth in the quarter. 12.3 seconds at 115.
That is absolutely amazing.
With a couple of tweeks, I am sure the thing is scorchingly fast.
Lets see..... Top fuel dragster; rear eng rwd & very good 0 to 60 mph.
Porsche.......rear eng rwd & very good 0 to 60 mph.
I think there's a pattern emerging
Fwd is literally fighting an uphill battle when you have enough traction to transfer weight to the rear. Which is almost anytime other than driving on snow or ice.
I love my Neon as much as anybody, but 60 ft (FOOT) times over 2.0 secs will never impress me. Sorry. It's a great car in many other ways though.
