Roach,
I encountered the same problem. not beating on it, felt like it poped out of 2nd gear w/grinding. happened 3 or 4 times in 6,000 mi. WTF. Dealer will not be able to repeat the problem since I cant get it to do it at will. Bulletproof, no such thing.

Well I started this thread 3 weeks ago and finally was able to pick my car up today after waiting for that back ordered part. Would'nt you know 15 miles into the ride home and it does the same thing again and leaves me stranded. What a piece!

I was able to check out other SRT-4's at the track driving thing and all of them shifted like a knife through butter even after all the beating they been through. Mine has never shifted that good and progressed worse. It's very hard to get into gear and that's probably why that shifter shaft keeps breaking because something is in a bind. When it's broke it feels great shifting because it does'nt have a load on it, too bad it won't go anywhere. Any ideas?

How r you guy's running 75w90 in a tranny designed for atf ??? Cause you can kiss the tapered bearing's good bye in ur tranny. Unless it's meant for an atf replacement.

I am new to this site, but everything sounds all too familiar. Same tranny problems here. Slipping out og 2nd and won't go into 3rd half the time. Talked to the service advisor and was told that slipping in the srt 4 is a common thing and I shouldn't worry about it. I was on my way to work this morning and my clutch decides that it doesn't want to work at all. The service guys said "there is nothing left but powder in there", "what did you do to it?". I don't ride this car hard on a regular basis and have had the same problem for months. The dealer wouldn't do anything about it. This is the second clutch I have had to replace. The first one occurred 1000 miles off the showroom floor. Same issue. Dealer won't warranty and they want to charge me $900 to fix a problem that should have been fixed three months ago. I love my car but this is getting out of hqnd. Any suggestions?
