I thought that Dodge distinguished their new model with just SRT-4 and i have gotten into a few debates up at work about this....The car only has the SRT-4 badge and on most sites they only say Dodge SRT-4 so which is it? Thanks

Its a neon, the ones that don't want to call their srt4 a neon are just plain stupied, its just a very mofied neon, if it was different then nothing would cross over.

I would have to agree. I drive a Neon SRT. Just like the other SRT models. Ram, Viper, Caliber, 300, and so on. But, if you look at the titles. Some say Neon and other say SRT4.

I LOVE MY NEON!

And no! An 02 will not fit an 03, unless you change out all the front bumpers and parts and make a complete swap. SRT4 are all the 4 bangers, but to be more specific, it can be related such as Dodge neon,Caliber, Cruiser, etc.

I am curious about the different stage neons. I have asked two different people and have gotten two different answers about the different stages, who does the different stage work and what's the difference between the stages? Thank you for any help that you can give me, I am new to the Neon SRT-4 scene and am trying to figure out what's what and what to buy.

The stages are upgrades for the turbos, 1 was injector upgrades, 2 new pcm and injectors and sensors, 3 little bigger turbo and the same stuff as the stage 2. A stage 2 or 3 pcm and sensors is needed if you want to boost higher than 16psi. It all depends on what you want to to do with the car.

People who are embarrassed about the Neon name just call it the SRT-4.

The stage kits were originally MOPAR factory engineered kits. I think the after market has also used the word "stage" so you need to make sure when you are talking about it, you mean MOPAR stage I, II or III.
Stage I really only applied to the 2003 cars. 'Cause they had slightly smaller injectors. I believe the injectors for stage one were basically what the 2004 and 2005 cars already had.
Stage II was for all years. I was different computer with 2 internal maps, a pump gas map and a high octane map controlled by the driver by an HOM switch. It also had a stronger Waste gate actuator, bigger injectors and a higher pressure MAP sensor. You could get it without the "toys" control panel but that was stupid cause you did not have boost control or the HOM switch. You really needed the control panel for the most benefit.
Stage III was as someone stated above, basically the same as a stage II, more of the same, but with a modified turbo impeller (larger) and there was a intercooler sprayer, but it was not popular and one reason why was because they would leak and if you went to the drag strip and lined up at the start line and they saw something dripping from the front they'd kick you off the track. The stage III really worked best with a better exhaust system, fuel pump upgrade, bigger throttle and bigger intercooler.
Stage II was good for about 60-70 hp over the I and stage III was good for about 60-70+ over the II, depending on accompanying mods.

i was wondering if anybody knew why the boost gage on my 05 neon srt4 skips when giving it gas, also it looks like it might either have a boost leak somewhere or maybe the wastegate is going bad! i was going to replace it with the AGP one, but is there going to be any modification involved? or will it be a straight bolt on?
