<FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" size=3> Just got back from the track with the srt4...awesome! Throwed a set of 15 inch centerlines with mickey tslicksfrom a buddys 99neon. First run on stock tires ran a 14.04 at99.8 mph .7 reaction time(Spun off the line like crazy) Second run with stock tires 13.98 at 100.02mph .5 reaction time(still spun a lot)Followed up with 19.67 at 100.01mph .4 reaction time(dont even try to launch the srt4 at the quarter with less than2500 grand on the tach it will jump and die and everyone will laugh you off the lot...lol)Ok replaced stock wheels/tires with15 inch slicks first run 13.80 at 103.35mph .6 reaction time.Second run on slicks 13.79 at 104.20mph .6 reaction time third and final run on the night netted a 13.76 at 103.80mph .6 reaction time not sure about the speed drop but this car impressed me as it was bone stock with only a set of slicks added for the last three runs all for 21,690.00. Cant do that most sub 13 second cars now are 30 plus another 10 to 20 to get into the low 13's. Me and a policeman who is a best friend of mine went out to a open road for some clocked top speed runs we made three with the best being 153.67mph before his boss showed up and said he was going to arrest us all...that ended that. Well thinking about adding the following mods from modern performance ATP turbo pressure pipe, GREEDY type S BOV, MSD Wires, coil pak, NKG pro plugs, AEM short ram intake, MOPAR BORLA exhaust,KW coil overs, strut tower bar, and aGREEDY profec-B SPEC2to keep an eye on things. Think i will leave the boost and waste stock for now and maybe some nitrous in the future thinking these mods will add around 50 to 60 whp. Car turned 242whp in factory trim with the a/c blowing and the alternator under load with the a/c and lights, etc all on. At a good friend of mines shop with the latest dyno. impressive for a dodge turbo 4!</FONT>

I own a 03 SRT-4 and I was highly impressed from the start, the first day I had the thing I smoked a 3000GT and he was impressed. I hav had no problems with handleing, I can take an off ramp at over 50 mph. I love showing it off to friends, they are never let down. I have also had the privalige of driveing my brother's 04 and they are 10 times better at handleing and faster off the line, I am so jealouse!!!! <IMG src=smileys/smiley10.gif border="0">But all I did to mine was a K&N and I could tell a difference. I am also looking into a boost gauge, and short ram air intake. I cant wait till I get my stage 1 and 2's. <IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0"> I am so impressed and everyone I talk to have nothing but good things to say. SO GET ONE IF YOU CAN!!!!

That reminds me, a friend of mine bought a new '03 tiburon gt V6 and tried to impress me/show off by going up a circular off ramp as fast as he could thinking he would leave me in his dust. He found out different. Apparently he didn't believe me about the Neons very successful racing heritage. They are made to handle well. Besides the gt's turn low 16's in the 1/4 and the R/T's turn high 15's in the 1/4. Either way the Dodge wins. Now with the SRT-4's having much better accel. it just widens the gap.<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley15.gif border="0">

i have a civic and its not fast no matter what i put into it on the stock sohc will it be as fast as an srt-4 so thats why i am getting rid of it, but anyways a buddy of mine harold has a srt-4 and broke it in and then took it for a dino test and registered at 240.2hp stock thats a crap load for a stock foru banger just thought you would like to know that!!!! and one more question is it true that the engine and tranny in the srt-4 is mitsubishi made?</P>
