Default Motor Mount Install Question?

Before I install my Booma Mounts - The instructions say to remove both mounts and to install the bottom one first. They state that it is not necessary to support the engine by a jack as it is supported in the center and can not drop. I remember a couple of posts a while back that stated the engine rotated during MM install casuing problems as the bolt holes were no longer aligned. Can the engine rotate forward with both mounts removed???

i have always suported the engine with a jack. and i do one at a time because it just makes sence when using a lift. y rearange the jack and lift when you can just install it while its set up from how you removed it.

you can move the engine significantly by hand when it's in the air.

Default RE: Motor Mount Install Question?

Just remember to put a piece of wood under thet fragile oil pan. One of my tech got over anxious doing a timing belt and cracked a pan. I did my mounts on the ground one at a time and had no problems.....and I did the top one first.
