is it possible to close the day lights (fog light). my car booklet say yes, but i tried the hand brake and nothing, even putting the hand brake before starting, still on. Are they defective or is dodge and there info defective.

I dont think theres a manual way to shut it off because its a law in canada. We dont have that in the US, ours are always off, and most of us want what you have...the option to just run the fog lights on. I guess you cant win either way!

 

Yes, I know I do!!! Sparkplug...you don't know of an easy way to accomplish that do you? I've seen a few how-tos on it, but I didn't really like them. I'm a noob at wiring things as well....[:@]

 

I just checked the service manual. It states the daytime running lamp module is integrated with the instrument cluster. No instructions on how to enable or disable. I'll keep looking.

The wiring diagram shows two relays for the DRL's in the fuse block also.

to run fog lamps only - - you gotta rewire or jack up the switch... that stupid switch is just dumb...

 

lol..wow we want daylights here in the US but you dont lik'em..weird!! but anyway you gotta rewire things to get it to work correctly!! I'll also look into it too.

 

I know that having to wire some stuff will be a must, but is there a way that doesn't require a lot of skill. A way that is idiot proof....not good at wiring things yet.

 

So i check with the dealer and he say's that you can't turn it off when the engine is running.

i was just checking if you go to the movie or something and need to start the cars and keep the light closed.

there is probably a way to put a relay on the parking brake switch...if you use the NC contact but i will have to look. since the electrical drawing are a hell to understand.

Anyway $%@ they sold me a car that was suppose to work and it is not...maybe i should call chrylser... and talk about faulty representation...don't think they are going to like that,or just do like always, say"yes mister we are going to do some thing' and do nothing
