Today i Installed the Mopar Conversion Blow off plate on my car. When i go to ship gears at a high rpm instead of making a woosh sound it make like a boggy sound. Also when i get on the gas a lot i can here a sound that sounds like a leaking of air. what do i do someone please help me i dont know why my BOP in not working Thanks

 

You need to read the thread currently about 10 lines down concerning the Mopar preformance BOV. They are notorious for leaking.

 

Like Pressure Said (most likely you had some problems installing the blue plate special and now its leaking gravy all under your hood)

 

when you installed it did you make sure all the holes lined up with the ones on the turbo???. You could've blocked off the holes accidentally. I would take it off and double check. make sure everything is lined up properly

 

Yeah, make sure the half moon indentation matches up on the gasket, and make sure it is in the right orientation, as well.

Can you get a torque wrench on there?

 

Has anyone tried using Blue RTV goo on these blue things? Like a thin coating on the gasket perhaps?

 

Permatex Hylomar Gasket Dressing can help. If I were to use any that is what I would use. But it is unnecessary.

 

I have already took it apart and checked to see if everything was ok but it still just does not Blow off when i shift or rev

 

I am not doubting you, or trying to give you crap. It sounds like it is installed backwards. Lots of people do it, don't feel bad if it is.

Is the half moon facing back towards the back of the car or
towards the front?

 

Post some pictures of your install. Take it apart and thake pics as you go. This might help. I used the permatex, and I have know leaks that I know of. I am making a leak tester today, so I will find out if I did it right.
