auxiliary fuel tank ?
Has anyone here tried, or know of anyone who has tried, putting in an auxiliary fuel tank? I was wondering if it would be possible to put a small tank ( say 5 or 10 gal) in the trunk to hold a reserve of 100 + octane fuel. I have seen this done on other cars but not one like mine ('05 SRT-4). Just seems a lot more practical than trying to run the tank empty, then trying to find the high octane fuel to put in it. Would be nice to have it when you want it not just when you planed way ahead. My main priority is to do nothing that would harm my car. So if it has been done can it be done safely?
uhh... though I see where you are coming from... I gotta think it's a bad idea... they 100+ octane is supposed to be used on the track/strip... where you do plan ahead
