Default K&N Typhhon Inrake

I installed the Typhoon intake today in short ram form. Very easy install (great if you are just starting to work on your car like me), took a little less than an hour being very careful. My gas pedal now feels firmer to the push, and i did hear the distinct horse laugh that I've read about here. My only question is this: is the high pitched scream I hear when in full boost normal? My 04 usually peaks around 15, sometimes spikes to 17, and after about 20 minutes of spirited cruising, I'm still seeing these numbers after the install. My stock b.o.v. (i guess it's more of a purge valve) also sounds way louder.

p.s. I'm a little worried about the gromett, I'm thinking that two small strips of good old electrical tape will add a little more stability, any better suggestions?

As always, any input is greatly appreciated.

okay dont use electrical tape.... before you put your filter on put your hand up the tube and make sure the gromit is seated well on the inside and its not coming off at all and you will be fine. i heald mine from the inside while i put that sensor in to make sure.

and that loud noise you hear is your turbo spining at it fasest. at about 4500 and up your turbo will be sreaming because its spining at around 150,000rmps and it is normal and the best reason to get an intake IMO.
