It is the unfinished aluminum piece attached to the end of the intake manifold. (follow the 4 pipes coming out of the front of the engine to the end where you will find the throttle body. Your intercooler hose is connected to it at the bottom) The tps and Iac are the 2 harnesses/plugs that attach to it.

Bucking and now other problems can be fixed by your dealer. Give him a list of all your concerns. (make a copy for yourself) Order the plugs & wires and install them after you've get it back from the dealer, that way you can tell if they really made a difference. (they should) The MSD 8.5MM wires carry more current (less resistance) than the stock wires and the new Iridium plugs are better than Platinum. (harder-last longer, carries more electricity) Champion Iridium plugs is 9403 for 2004 SRT-4. ( not pushing Champion - just we now have another choice and easier to get ) Good luck!

I get the same kind of grinding sound when i stay in a high gear and accelerate from low rpms. The bucking only seems to happen when im decelerating in first or second gear. But thats fairly normal. I have an 05` with around 3300 miles on it and i wondered what u guys thought about the clutch work when driving. I feel like im using the clutch entirely too much but when i dont the car does get a bit unruly.

Also anyong have trouble dropping back into first gear while the car is rolling...? when im even slightly rolling i feel like I almost have to force it back into first.. just wondering what u guys thought.

We all just love driving in traffic[sm=lame.gif].

Yeah - it gets tiresome - I'll deal with it though, we get a bombproof tranny and clutch as a tradeoff.

Put simply....the car gets pissed off when driving slow and at low rpms. Youll get a tranny noise as well when your in say second gear around 12-13mph. It freaks ALOT of people out, but Porsche trannies make the same exact noise. Its absolutely normal. Excessive bucking, and bucking under acceleration (not in a lower gear) could be a TPS issue. Which doesnt always throw a code if its an intermittent problem. Jiggle the wires, they're on the top right of the Throttle body, if the idle cuts in and out, thats the easiest way to tell if somethings wrong.

Or if you wanna be technical, get a voltage meter, and if while the car is running the voltage is off the chains, thats what it is. Normally the "blue" wire in the TPS is what breaks first, you would think that come 05 they would've changed this realizing that its a huge concern, but nooooo not DCX. Which is perfectly fine, whatever. But it does cause scares to people who dont really understand what the hell is wrong with their brand new car. I had mine replaced. Very simple repair, takes less than a half hour if your tech has any sort of a clue.

Good luck, itll all work out.
