Well the big ? is where are you with the SRT-4. If it is stock or close, you just might get your *** handed to you.

In a crx, with just a B18a and some tuning(no turbo), well south of 270hp, my boy was running in the high 12's no problem. He beat my SRT-4 stock bretty badly. The CRX is less than 2000 lbs, and it has a lot of straight line potential. At 270hp, if he can drive it, that little thing oughtta be a rocket.

If it is a h22, he will be very fast in a straight line. If it is a h22 turboed he will be even faster.

It sounds like you are sure it has a turbo. Even a D16 can be at 200 hp if turboed. the fact that it is low torque isn't that big a deal, since he'll be spooling to 8500 rpm or so. Ought to be enough at that level. Plus the turbo makes up a lot of tq.

That is - if he ain't lying. But why would he plunk down a grand if he didn't know something.

Don't bet him - just run him.

Definitely post up the results.

well just to let you know, remember his car is WAYYYYYYYYYY lighter then yours. ive seen hatch backs kill, and i mean KILL STI's and evos'd. Lert alone give Supras a good run. So i'd say dont bet on it but just test run his car. If he wasnt confident about his car, i dont think he'd be putting down 1G...GL! Not to mention, willing to race a Z, man becareful.

Ummm....they are light as hell bro .....my friends civic has an h22A and runs w/ corvettes at low 13s on street tires and 12.9 w/ drags and thats in a del sol... naturally aspirated. So 276 hp in a crx is definately a scary situation for any stock neon.

Man all this talk about modded CRX's and how fast they are. I am starting to think twice about selling the one in front of my house. Maybe I should just buy a b18 and start a second project...Wish I had the time...
