If you hadn't bought the SRT-4 and had to choose any new car, but didn't have more than 24,000 to spend, what car would you buy instead?

any car used or new? either a 3rd gen RX-7 or a 95-99 eclipse GSX

 

The wife says she would have gotten the 05 mustang gt...... me i would probaly buy a bus pass and save for an evo or sti

 

yeah,,,if I could get the 05 mustang GT for 24,000, that would be the one that I would buy. However, they are a little more than that. I wouldn't get the six cyclinder one, and that is within the 24k budget. I think I would have gotten the RSX or either a mazda miata. I don't know what the love is for that mini-cooper, but a lot of people like that thing. With it having to be a new car, I *might* choose the cobalt SS. I'm just glad the SRT was available.

Not a bad start.

I almost did it.

But honestly, there was NO other choice for me after I drove the SRT-4. I am glad I chose wisely.

 

I had an '02 R/T, which I traded off for my SRT. It took me 2 years to convince the wife to let me buy it, so for me there was no other choice.

 

depends on what you are looking for
TURBO i would go for a 92 to 95 eagle talon good bang for the buck and easy to make go fast. fact is when i had the stage 2 w/exaust, cai, and other small stuff i had a talon pull up next to me going about 40 mph honk a couple of time then we both went for it and he actually smoked me "NOT THAT I LIKE TO ADMIT IT" but it was impressive
NON TURBO most likely a acura rsx they are really fast for naturally aspirated and look pretty good to
Super Charged i would definetly go with the pinto fully built super charged you lookin at a woppin 90 horsies HA HA couldnt resist

If i didn't need a daily driver. I would have built a pinto sleeper. A 900+ whp 2.3L. Ya might laugh when i pull beside ya but you be gagging on my rwd's smoke as i leave ya in the dust in disbeleif. I can see ya telling your friend's ya got beat by a 74 pinto. if it had to be new i would have kept my svt focus, mustang gt at yr end close out, or a wrx. used would be last gen supra turbo or maybe a 3 gen rx7

 

a mustang. not sure what kind, probably a 03 cobra. but definetly a mustang.
