Mopar performance parts warranty
I have Stage 1, an Intake, Mopar BOV, and exhaust.
I've got the 7 year 0 deductible maxi-care too. The intake and exhaust arent mopar parts either. The dealership I take him to has no problems with those small mods at all. Neither did Bald Hill, the dealer RIPSIGUY works for. It all depends on where you go. Talk to them beforehand and see what they say.
Theres a sticky up top where I posted ALOT more on it, check that one. If you've still got questions, Paul is definitely the one to ask. As he is a service manager at a DCX dealer

Thanks Lilsparkplug.
Interestingly when the day I bought my car as I was waiting for delivery my salesman steered me to the parts counter and told me all about the stage kits. They were actually pushing them. Only problem is I hate to spend the $$ for the dealer to do the install.

Thanks for the reply... I hate the price at the dealership too but the warranty is a big deal especially since I`m not the best on this car... its hard as hell to drive slow....
Well the Stage 1 and 2 installs are very very easy. The only thing thats a bitch on Stage 2 is the toys kit, if you so happen to order it that way. Stage 3 is a very involved install. That I wouldnt recommend to anyone who isnt mechanically inclined, and/or hasnt already taken the turbo out of the car. You definitely need access to a lift for that install.
Stage 1 is 6 bolts and 3 plugs. The computers out swap the new one in. Anyone can do that install
Try buying the parts online. Used PCM's are just as good as new ones. You can get a used S1 for around $200. Other websites often have them cheaper than Daimler Chrysler as well.
Put it this way, you order from Daimler Chrysler and your name shows up in the system as having ordered that part. However, if when the new PCM is put in the car if the mileage isnt reset properly using the DRBIII, they'll know you bought it used.
Dont pay full price for something from a dealer when you can get it cheaper and install it yourself or have others help you for free, or a few beers!!

But isnt it up to my dealership whether or not the warranty has been comprimised?
So say I do ask the dealership if the stage one install is ok... then i buy the parts from mopar.. then install myself... would this verbal agreement hold up if something with my engine goes wrong and i need it replaced?
Its just scary for me messing with a brand new car. One because I have no idea what im doing and two im rather poor and it took alot of saving to buy this car.
I do have a friend who has done tons of work on his and knows what he is doing and offered to help me install and uninstall in case something happend... will the dealership be able to tell if i did work on the car in that case?

Also Im getting a turbo timer coming up and wanted to know if anyone has had any warranty problems with those... i figured i would install it regardless because it is good for my car and the dealership would be stupid to punish me for helping them out in the long run.
