Default 2nd gear hop

Should i be getting any wheel hop in 2nd gear? I am basically stock (K&N filter) and when i have a good 1 to 2 upshift i sometimes get pretty excessive wheel hop in second. Is there anything i can do about this? I would much rather hear a little 2nd gear chirp than have my car doing a jackrabbit routine. Thanks.

try using some finesse instead of just hammering on it. People want to drive mine, i tell them i can get them there quicker without them tearing up my ride by bouncing it through the gears....This little thing does require some practice to get it right. Motormounts will help if you cant help yourself though.

sometimes it is not all about FINESSE your stock motor mounts are relly soft and tend to let the motor move a little more than you want so for my opinion for about 30 bucks and maybee 1 hour out of your day you could install some polyurethane motor mount inserts from modern performance . it will stiffen up your motor mounts and give you less wheel hop and more of a hard chirp into second gear. OR spend the duckets and gey the avid motor mounts
