well it all depends if you are thinking about getting a new turbo also. if you are thinking about getting a new turbo, meaning upgrading, than the Greddy boost controller is a good buy. well to be honest the Greddy boost controller is a good product regardless, but i see your point. maybe if you think that you might be throwing money away then just fro time beeing use a manual boost controller until then.

 

The stock MAP and TIP sensor is calibrated to read up to 17 psi of boost. The stock PCM only reads to 14 PSI. That is why you hit 15psi on a stone stock car and it falls back to 11- 13 psi. The injectors will not flow enough fuel to keep the air fuel ratio and the factory default. This is why you got a code and a MIL light. With this it retards fuel timing and boost. Remove what ever you did to increase the boost, remove the negative battery terminal, let sit of one minute, reinstall negative battery terminal, this will reset the PCM and clear your fault code. ANd you will have to reset your clock, all radio stations saved will not be lost.

Purchase a Stage 1 pcm, and you can reinstall your boost mod. The stage 1 PCM will read up to 17 psi of boost. If you go over this you will have the exact same problem as before. Since you want more boost i would recommend the stage 2 with or without toys, for me the toys is worth the price. Be advised that any of the above will void your warranty.
