Wow, that sounds really bad. I don't know the whole story, but it sounds like its time to take the car to the dealer and shove it up their *** and tell them to give you a new one.
And leave the hampsters alone, lol

Okay,,,better yet. Just describe it to me.

Okay I just typed this whole long reply, and then my size 5 in kids bigass foot knocked my USB netgear thingie RIGHT out of the computer. Needless to say I lost it all. So here we go again.
I had been saying since July that something was wrong with my turbo. The way it fluttered under boost, and just didn't sound right during idle (i.e. my video clip) made absolutely no sense to me. I dont beat on the car or anything. Three dealerships told me I was crazy. But Lincoln was willing to take it apart and find out.
We took all the external parts off of the turbo per the instructions for removal, upon doing that you would expect that they would at least be somewhat slippery with oil, and they werent. Not a damn drop of oil anywhere. So he thought that was a good sign. And yes this is the first SRT-4 that they've really gotten into in such depth. And yes this is the first turbo they've done. But I dont think there was anything wrong with the install. Im seeing it as an oil feed problem.
If these parts were properly lubricated they wouldnt be making such noises while the engine was cold. When the engine warms up its a lighter version of that noise heard in the video. The clip is so short because the noise just continues. When you give it the gas per the throttle cable inside the engine, the ticking heard underneath the valve cover gets louder, but the noise coming from the turbo isnt heard.
I have no boost leaks, no vac leaks, no problem getting into boost. It just flutters regardless of what the gauge reads in the positive zone.
Im going to my dealer in a bit with my moms car for an oil change and to put an air dam on the car. So Im going to have my tech listen to the videos and then we can play deja vu. [&o]
