GReddy TypeRS Blow Off Valve
I was looking at this one for my car, but on a couple of the sites that I found, there is an optional upper tube to connect to it. Do I really need it or can I put the blow off valve on without it????
I think your talking about the tube that sends what blows off back into your system "recirculation" which elimates the sound that it makes. so if you want the upgraded bov but you still want to keep it quiet then get it if you want the noise then doint... i have a type rs with out the recirculation tube and love it.
if this isnt what your talking about please refrase your question.

i think she's talking about the upp. and yes, you do need that. you need the bov, a flange, and a pipe to install. it's a very simple install, shouldn't take more than about a half hour including putting on the cold side pipe. it's a nice sounding bov, i've had it for about six months now.
ahh got ya... thanks for clearing that up psi.. i didnt even think of cold side lol. and the install should be that long but ive ranted enough about a certain company that made mine about 3 times longer...
and you need a block off plate for your old surge valve.

Also would this be a decent pipe to use to mount a BOV?
