Whats up guys and gals. Man yall have some really nice SRT-4's posted here.
I just recently bought myself a 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 about 2 weeks ago.
Im a Police officer in the state of Texas. My real name is Wayland - Friends and coworkers call me Wayman.
Brief story behind getting my SRT-4:
Back in 2000 i had a GF who had a 98 5 speed Neon. Now i knew how to drive a standard but i hadent actually put it inot practice untill she let me loose on her car. Needless to say i had much fun w/ it.
Fast forward: 2006
I have a C5 Corvette (love fast cars) and she is paid off finally and i wanted another car to drive around but still have fun in while i keep the Vette in the garage to fix up. Well a while back i started to notice the SRT-4's driveing around.... yeah they looked cool but i wasent too sure about them. One night im cruzeing (in the Vette) and this black SRT-4 raised up for a race. Needless to say i was impressed when i hammered on the gas (Vette gets to 140 from 70 VERY FAST) and the SRT-4 was hanging w/ me up untill 130mph. (After owning the SRT-4 and testing her - that guys ride had to have been moded stock theres no way he would have hung like he did)
At that point i was sold on the car i had to get one as soon as the Vette was paid off.

Now i have one:
No mods as of yet. I dont really plan on Modding her up too much but i do want to do a few lil things to her. I have the Vette to Mod and it costs on average Twice as much per part for it so gona keep the mods at a min for the SRT-4.

Hers a few pics nothing much.... sorry dont have a pic of me and my cars yet but soon to come.

Here is the Vette.

Hey Bruce, do ya ever get "fish are friends, not food" from anyone? If not, let me be the first.

Damn, I wanna be a cop in Texas now.......

I should post a like pic of my ol rusty 86 Chevy Custom Deeeluxe pickup showing what happens when you become a mechanic in Michigan.

Maybe the kids who see this will then go to college!.......LOL

Ok found a few more shots

Here is Both after a Day of Washing.

Here is a photo of me about 1 year ago. 29 and I still look young ) (bonus)

It took a few years and lots of doing next to nothing to pay off the Vette. Im glad I got it paid off I hated putting so many miles on her + Im not easy on my cars. If they go fast - I unlesh the power regularly.
I really enjoy driveing the SRT-4. Definately the reason i bought it. There was NO WAY ide get something that couldent run and that is something the SRT-4 can do. Its fun to give her a lil gas and feel it when the turbo kicks in. Its alot different driveing than the Vette. It definately has ALOT Heavier clutch than the Vette. Gives the left leg a good work out but hay I dont mind. Shifting is alot different period. I find it eaiser to smoothly shift the Vette than the SRT-4 (unless i shift at low rpm) but I think that may be due to the turbo boost going up and down between shifts and the difference in how much force is used to depress the clutch.

Both cars are VERY fun .......... Least with the SRT-4 I can take more than 1 friend for a ride at a time LOL.
