I was fortunate to get one of the few brand new 2005's out there three weeks ago. Better still - the ACR option! Does anybody know how many ACRs were made?
Nearing 50 years old, and after restoring 3 GTOs, I thought performance was all about big block eights. I was wrong. This little car is a blast, and can handily pulverize any GTO I ever owned - particularly in handling and braking.

Also have a 2005 PT Cruiser GT with the same (but detuned) turbocharged 2.4L. Why does the SRT-4 get (confirmed) 30MPG on the highway, and the PT Cruiser struggles to get 16MPG?

How the hell you get 30mpg? Im averageing 18 mpg and im not on all up on her all the time. Sure would like 30.
+ what is different about the ACR version?
I noticed the seats / rims but what else? any performace difference?

ive been able to get 28mpg so i dont know what you guys are haveing a problem with but the pt weights more and is less aerodynamical so i can see it getting less gas mileage but i dont know about 1/2 as much oh well
and the acr comes with different rims, seats, and suspension.

The worst mileage I've had after nearly one month and 2750 miles is 24MPG. I've noticed that having the air conditioner makes a big difference in mileage. The best I've received is slightly over 30MPG while on the Blue Ridge Parkway between Sparta and Ashville NC. Please note that there was a bit of "spirited driving" then
The ACR package has adjustable shocks, beefed up control arms, lightweight BBS wheels and BF Goodrich track tires. Also, the seats are suitable for a 5-point harness and have agressive bolstering. The handling and braking is outstanding.
This one was the last new 2005 in the state, per the dealer. They had been receiving calls from other dealerships having offers for over sticker!

If I was going to own a small fast car it would be a Neon SRT they are sporty and mean....but I have the hardest time watching a car that has to have the drag slicks on the front it is just wild and weird.....but aside from that I am sure I would get use to it.....all of you have some great looking cars and this is coming from a Truck Chic

My real name is Jose. I'm 26 from New Jersey. I've owned my SRT-4 since 8/2004. Along side Jay (never2muchboost) we have formed N2MB Racing back in 5/2005 and became official in 10/2005. We're pretty well know in the tri-state area and looking to expand even more! We are not a vendor on here so I won't discuss our business any further out of respect of paid vendors. Anyway, here are some pics of myself and my ride! Enjoy!
This is me...I'm full of energy
