spark problem(i think)
I keep getting choppy boost. im runnin like 17 lbs with a mbc and s1. i got the 8.5 mm wires and new plugs gapped them to .040. Car ran great for like a month and now the same problem with the choppyness. i dont know if its igntion or what. does anybody know how hard msd ignition is to put in??
thank a bunch

the msd ignition isn't that hard to put in, but you should solve this problem before making it more complex by adding other parts.
have you taken out the plugs and looked at them? any carbon deposits? what color are they? what plugs are you running? have you adjusted the gap since installing?

i had the plugs out yesterday after i posted that. they have a yellowy- golden type of color on the tips so i think i might be too lean. the plugs are champion platnums with 8.5 mm wires. the gap was at .052 and people with similar mods told me to go .040. do u think im too lean. and do you know if anybody has run an afc in one yet? thanks for your help

even if you don't want to get the irriduims, go get some ngk's. the champions are crap, even mopar thinks so!
it's hard to tell if you're lean or what without seeing a picture of the plugs. could you post one?
ps - afc = crap

psichick- how do u adjust your fuel??
the reason i think i was too lean is b/c i raced my friends worked 5.0 the other night and i cranked the boost up to like 20lbs, i still beat him though

if you put the boost up to 20psi i can guarantee you were running dangerously lean.
if you want to adjust your fuel, you need some sort of management system. a fuel return line and a emanage will do the trick. a set of 750cc injectors would help as well.
