Default O2 Housing Install Questions?

I would really like to upgrade my 3" system with a Maxxfab 3" O2 Housing. I can't even seen the thing and the install is beyond me. I am wondering if even my local muffler shop can do this properly? They have had my DP off a time ir two with no problems but the upper mounting looks far more difficult.
- Does the top of the O2 Housing mount with bolts threaded into something or bolts with nuts?
- What does the top bolt to? Turbo or Manifold?
- Is all work done from under the car or do you have to remove upper heat shield and other engine bay parts?
- A oil cooler of some type must be unbolted and moved aside to gain access to bolts?
- What special tools are required?
- How often do the top mounting bolts break when removing? This would appear to be a major event?
This mod appears to be very difficult to me? Is it just a horror show to swap the O2 Housing?

Default RE: O2 Housing Install Questions?

No its actually very simple, with a rachet and a huge *** extension that is. The 02 housing is what the downpipe (cat or not depends on your system) bolts into. It connects to the exhaust manifold with bolts and a pretty little gasket type guy.

Yes the powersteering cooler, just shove that little guy out of the way its much easier to get to anything up there without it in the way.

If the bolts are on too tight, try some PB Blaster, soak the bolts then give it a turn. Mine didnt break when I had my turbo replaced, and that was at 29,XXX miles.

All of the work can be done underneath the car, you can leave the upper heat shield alone.

I think thats it.....
