we did a big srt dyno day here saturday and i have a S2.i got 262hp and 315tq,i was higher than all the other S1 srts but one.he had S1 with intake and a few other bolt ons and he pulled 295hp with 320tq.so i guess if you know ho to tune then do the S1 with add ons,if you are like me and know just a little go with the S2 and simple mods.i saw many S1's with other mods and they didn't pull those #s most were in the 250's and most had little problems.so i guess pick what you think is best.

something to remember.....you don't race dyno numbers.

stage kits show their real value on the street and strip, not on a dyno. in fact, they dyno like junk. i'm betting that if you look at your dyno sheet you'll notice that somewhere in the 4500rpm range your curve takes a dump. that would be the ecu pulling timing because the damn things are so smart that they know the car isn't moving.

Here is a vote for s2 with toys and it's performance on the track (I agree that dynos don't=time prediction at the track).

13.278 in the 1/4mi first time ever at the track. Sounds like a decent improvement over stock to me.

yeah i know all that, but i've never taken mine to the track so i was just adding a little of what i knew from my exp. there was a guy there with S3 and he had lower #s than me but they said he gets like 12's at the track though.

high 12's at the track on stage 3 means that something is wrong. i blow vacuum lines like it's going out of style and still do mid 12's.

Before the big turbo upgrade I hit ~275whp/300ftlbs on the dyno using:

Stage I
AGP WGA
MBC
D-Tec

21psi spike, holding 19, dropping to 17psi @ redline, according to the stock boost guage which read 1.5psi when the car was off.

I also added water injection and a FMIC, and felt a considerable increase in power, but never redyno'd it. Probably with the extra timing of the water injection and the cooler air, it probably was very close to 300whp.

Bottom line is, the stock turbo can't use the extra 250rpm the Stage 2 give you. If you're staying with the stock turbo and doing other mods than JUST the stage kit, then you're better off with Stage I. If all you're doing is the stage kit (and maybe an exhaust), then go with Stage 2.

PSIchick thanks for the offer to email me with the stage 2 instructions. I checked all over the internet on the other SRT forums nothing but bad links. I even emailed modernperformance and they said they didnt have it on file.
I would really appreciate it if you could!
