Went down and got it today as planned if you read my other thread.

Didn't go quite as low as I was thinking but I feel I got a reasonable deal so I went with it. Silver, sun roof, kicker stereo, no side air bags...

Got it for 22900 out the door (21100), not bad?

Now I'm off to cruise a bit more! Its hard to not boost it up, but I'm doing good, I've done a few short full throttle runs to 4000 max in the 3+. Looking forward to when I can really get on it!

CONGRATS!!!! I <3 silver and black SRTs. If I didnt get a black one, I wouldve had a Silver one for sure! Have fun, be safe, start modding!

*edit* was it the closer dealer or the further dealer that ended up cutting the deal for you? I have the same exact options in my car. I figured if I was burying myself, may as well do it in a car thats "loaded". Well....as "loaded" as SRTs may come.

Now,,,,welcome to my life. Now you have to stress about where you park, when it is raining, bird crap, pebbles from trucks driving in front of you, bugs staining the front end......all the things that can ruin your new car.....LOL.

Start modding it....and remember, don't go to the other SRT sites looking for advice, because advice comes cheap, and too many people, such as myself, aren't smart enough to know what we don't know, and are too willing, even in an effort to help, could possibly give you poor advice. The people here aren't noob's. Take their word as gospel when modding.

Lower it!!! That's my advice. I hate the way they look up in the air like they are.

This car is a love affair. It won't leave your *** for what you thought was your best friend!!!!! Wait,,,that's another story....LOL.

LilSparkPlug, it was the closer dealer, the one I went to about trading in my truck. I probably could have got another 500 or so off at the other dealer - who knows for sure but I was shooting for between 22K and 23K out the door and got it so I'm pretty happy. I've seen others with better deals but I think I got a decent price comparing to what it seems majority have paid. I was originaly going for the "base" srt, but really liked the sun roof and I think the the kicker system is good enough for me, I had an aftermarket system in my truck and I rarely had it up very loud, I prefer listening to the exhaust most of the time!

wordslayer, there was 96 miles on it when I drove it off the lot! More than I would like for sure, but the other silver car I found was at like 40 aswell. I'd much more prefer to start under 10, but I'm not sure it'd be possible to find a silver with that low since it was only a half year color. Anyhow, theres 160 now!

First mods will definetly be TINT! Then a drop must happen I agree, and I'm thinking the borla cat back sometime in the future. I'm going to hold off on anything else untill I get used to the car more, get it broken in and all that.

As far as getting advice for mods, I got ya! I've been reading so much stuff the last few weeks on the SRT and of course no surprise theres a lot of "younger" folks around, I was there myself when I first got my truck but I've leared a lot about modding since then! Hearing from people with tried and true experience is the best way to go IMO!

Now I have to go out and cruise one last time for the night lol

 

congrats and enjoy. ooooh yeah, were you ever warned about the way there always seems to be traffic to go around and those long stretches of open road dissapear very quickly.

 

Did noone get theres for under 20? I got my orange with kicker sunroof etc for 19999... put ten down though that may have helped

 

I bought my 04 back in february straight out of the showroom paid $17995.Im not to sure why i got a good deal might of been because they had 4 05's the same color as mine so they probably figured it wouldnt sell,Oh well cant complain love the car but loved the price even more.

 

I dont understand how it'd be possible for a dealer to sell the car for that much but thats awesome! Paying less is always nice, but I'm pretty content with what I paid.

Wow. 17k huh? That is a good deal. I work at DCX and got my 2004 SRT-4 with sunroof and Kicker system for 20800.
