Can't believe something like this is so, "normal" lol

Anyways, while we're talking about about exhaust so the borla is a complete bolt on/swap out for the stock exhaust? Basically I want to know if I'll need to have anything welded...

LOL....I stress about dead bugs being on the front end of my car, so you just know that having crooked exhaust tips drives me bonkers.

Everything just bolts on. No welding!
I wheel hopped so hard on a launch the other day my catback pipe slid out of the slip joint so I figured I am half way there! The rest is just hangers/isolators and bolts.

lol

Ok cool... What about taking the stock exhaust off, do you have to cut anything? It'll be nice to not have to pay for an install, but the hard part would be working without a lift! Hmmm

Well I went out and bought myself some blitz rhino ramps and Wheel Chocks for about 38dollars total at auto zone. It allows you to crawl underneath. Enough clearence for me (but I am only 5'7 and 160 pounds.) I got the 8,000 pound rhino ramps.
I got underneath and stuck my pipe back into the slipjoint. I then inspected the whole exhaust as as they said it was so easy to install and sure enough its just pipes bolted together and hanging from rubber isolators. The mopar exhaust comes with everything ..it appears the hardest part is the bolt that connects the downpipe/cat to the rest of the exhaust ( the one that mine slipped out of!) I tried to tighten it up but that bolt is all rusted and locked.

I'm not a professional but it apears the rest is just unbolting and wiggling out of the rubber isolators. Then bolting on the new one and wiggling back the new pipes onto the rubber isolators.... I have read it is easy! But I have not seen the instructions yet.

Oh yeah. I've spent considerable time on my back bending and tweaking. It has to do with the curved pipes "working" from all the heat cycling I believe. Cause they weren't crooked like that when I bought the car. I am a big symmetry guy. Bugs don't really bother me as long as I've got an even number on the left and the right. Don't even talk about crooked tips.
