Other than the suggestions in the manual, does anyone have input/experience on what to check/replace at 30,000 miles? From what I've gathered, there is a substantial amount of useful/need-to-know information that is not covered in the manual.....

 

all that you need at 30k is a oil change, probably a coolant flush, might want to do the tranny fluid, and a pcv valve. other things like replacing or cleaning the air filter and tire rotation and all are a good idea too. but don't pay the $500 that dodge is going to charge you to do it!!!!

 

Exactly! That is what spawned the question as well. Dodge charges so much for their milage checkpoints that it makes you think there is some major work required. I planned on doing all but the pcv valve....now that is added to the list. Thanks for you input!

 

$500.00 for a 30k on a 4 cyl??????!!!!! WTF kind of dealer quoted you that price? We charge $280.00.

 

i was being sarcastic. but even so, $280 to LOOK at a few parts, do an oil change and fill the fluids is insane.

 

What do you get for the 280 if you dont mind me asking?

 

I would get a voided warenty.

 

Here is what we do on a 30K

LOF
Spark plugs
PCV valve
Transmission oil change
Four wheel balance and rotate
coolant change
lube hinges and locks
fuel filter...if applicable
New wiper blades installed

Inspection or adjustment of the following;

belt tension
exhaust
battery test
all lights
a/c operation
cv boots
pads and rotors
suspension components

Call around, if you can find someone to do all that for $280.00 I'd be surprised.
