Rustproofing
Well you guys have good points. And I do believe the factory is doing better than they did in the 70's. That, and the massive amount of plastic used nowadays doesn't hurt. I was looking at my car while on the lift the other day, and was looking at all the areas the factory undercoating missed and it was a little disconcerting. My car is and will always be a daily driver. I wish I could put it up for the winter, but at this time that is just not the case. Maybe by next winter. I am going to do a bit of research yet before I decide what to do mostly concerning warranty issues but I had an old 72 Chrysler that was Zeibarted and it did very well as a Michigan car and had very little rust when I got rid of it in '86 at 14 years of age. Nothing totally prevents rust, but I think you can do a lot to slow it down.
