First I got rear-ended on Thursday at lunch. Nothing too serious, minor body damage, but $5500 for repairs is the estimate.

Then at the track on Sunday, trying out the new skinnies on the rear and the coil-overs, the engine blew in the burn-out box. I knew the engine wouldn't last forever pushing the boost like I was, but I was hoping it'd last long enough for me to get the other engine built. I don't know exactly what happened yet, but what ever it is, it happened to the #1 cylender (Broken rod or disintigrated piston).

So this weekend the broken engine comes out. I'll load it up on a trailer and drop it off at the body shop next Monday and wait for parts to come in for the engine and for the body work to be done. Hopefully by New Year's she'll be back on the road w/ a built NRGY engine that's capable of handling 1000+ hp.

 

Dude man that sucks. I really dont care for the SRT-4's as a whole, but your's was definitely one I had came to like.

Hopefully she's back on the block soon enough to keep all those idiots in line!

Good luck with the repairs/mods and hopefully it comes out twice as good as before!

sorry to hear that its outta commission for a while but at least you know it will be 5 times better then it was.....A thousand Horsepower!!!!!!???Is that possible!!!?????

 

The engine will be capable of handling 1000hp. I plan on running about 650 to the wheels... maybe as much as 750 some day.

wow sorry to hear this! i was hoping to see a 10s run from you this season! but then again, it's always race season for you in arizona so i'm sure that after the new year we'll be seeing that 10!

 

I don't want to be rude, but why do you post in here if you don't like SRT-4s? Just wondering.

 

I dont like a lot of cars as a whole, doesnt mean I'm not entitled to appreciate a select few. Not to mention, anytime someone does that much work to a car, it sucks to lose it period, whether you appreciate the car or not.

I respect the SRT-4's, but I dont like them. It actually has to do with the Neon more then the motor, cuz the motor is awesome.

Also, not to be a *****, but if you can't at the very least post my entire response, dont pick out one part and call me on it.



Bottom line here is this, you dont have to like sh*t to respect it, and you dont have to own one to know the real deal.
