no brand 100% custom, on the piping. Going to go to muffler shop that I always go to. Not sure on the cat, what ever my muffler guy says is good I can trust him. Hes owned the shop for who knows how long - forever.

That's cool if he has an automotive engineering degree, preferably a Master's, and personally knows some of the PVO personnel, and has dyno tuned several SRT-4s with different designs prior to putting the best one on your car. Something tells me this isn't the case though...
What I'm saying is a "custom" exhaust put on a SRT-4 (or any high performance modern car) without being tested for hp and torque gains is a shot in the dark, at best. Each turn, bend, and curve will have a major impact on the effectiveness of an exhaust system. You stand a better than even chance of losing power instead of gaining any. Of course if all you're interested in is loud noise, maybe your way is best. Good luck and let us know what the dyno says.....[sm=smiley20.gif]

yeah we'll see cuz what I'm looking for is (1) performance than any other benefits (2nd)

That's the way to go....they may forget your noise, but they will never forget your rear end in front of them!!!![sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

good call Dusty... just finished up my college degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Automotive Powertrain (and no, I don't claim to know much ... either way, you are a lot more correct than you might have realized... there is usually a reason why a "factory car" is set up the way it is... not always for performance... but... a team of engineers and bean counters picked the set up on our cars for a reason... not that change is a bad thing either

I talked to him today and he's going to get me some prices. I'm going to cut out the resonator in the Mopar/Borla exhaust and straight pipe it.[sm=smiley2.gif]I want as little restriction as I can afford.[sm=smiley20.gif]

I think my neighbors are already annoyed when I go to work at 4 or 5 am- I'd hate to see what they'd do sans resonator (ok, it's true, I don't really care...).[sm=smiley15.gif]

Same here...I leave at 5 a.m. for work and due to the wooden fences around the complex, the SRT-4 exhaust rumbles....what the heck, one one side of my condo the lady plays her TV loud 24/7, and the folks on the other side seem intent on slamming their door so hard it rattles the fillings in my teeth....payback is hell....[sm=smiley15.gif][sm=smiley15.gif][sm=smiley15.gif]

I live in a business area so all I hear is trucks or nothing. I can't wait to annoy the people at the apartments just up the street.[sm=smiley15.gif]
